Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, in 1969, Eddie Steen is the eldest of five Steen children. He and his siblings were raised on Elvis as well as other music from the 50’s and early 60’s. At age six, Eddie saw Elvis live in concert at Pittsburgh and has been an admirer ever since.

A construction company owner by day, Eddie decided it was time to pursue his musical interests after watching an Elvis impersonator competition in Erlanger, Kentucky, in the mid-90’s. He made his first competition appearance as an Elvis impersonator at the 1997 Ohio State Fair. Although a bit nervous before a crowd of several thousand people, Eddie gave a strong, well-received performance. He spent the next several years honing his stage technique and acquiring the Elvis attire needed to build his confidence and stage presence playing the King of Rock & Roll.

By the late 90’s, Eddie had performed at several Elvis tribute shows, county fairs, and fundraisers. In addition, he competed in Elvis impersonator contests in a number of states. A regional win at Evansville, Indiana, advanced him to the National Finals in Las Vegas, Nevada. There he was honored by singing with Elvis’ original background singers, The Jordanaires - an experience he still regards as the highlight of his musical career.

In addition to the demands of his construction company, Eddie continually pursues his musical interests. He has appeared with The Fantasies, The Regular Joes, and The Expense Account Band. He hopes to someday have the opportunity to engage a larger local orchestra to recreate Elvis’ later year concerts such as The Aloha Special of 1973.

There is a constant demand for Elvis music from younger and older fans alike. Eddie’s highly acclaimed, tight vocal performances are sure to please Elvis enthusiasts of all ages.
